Job Description
Our client is a fast-scaling premium retail and lifestyle business building a strong, differentiated product portfolio across online, retail, and institutional channels. As the business moves into its next growth phase, it is strengthening category leadership to drive assortment excellence, margin growth, and brand-led merchandising.
Your Role: The Category Manager will be responsible for end-to-end category strategy, from demand planning and assortment design to sourcing, pricing, performance optimization, and team leadership. The role requires a commercially sharp, consumer-driven leader who can balance creativity with data-backed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and execute the category growth strategy, including demand planning, pricing, and margin optimisation.
Build and manage the product portfolio and seasonal assortments aligned with brand positioning and commercial goals.
Lead global and local sourcing, vendor onboarding, and commercial negotiations.
Own category P&L, tracking sales, margins, sell-through, and profitability.
Drive cross-functional execution with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Digital teams to ensure availability, visibility, and conversion.
Lead and develop the category and merchandising team, driving accountability and performance.
Must have :
56 years in category management, buying, or merchandising.
Experience in FMCG, lifestyle, or premium retail environments.
Proven track record managing diverse product portfolios.
Exposure to international sourcing and GCC retail markets.
MBA or Postgraduate degree in Business, Marketing, or Retail Management.
