Senior Planning Engineer

Employment: Full Time
Job duties:
Develop and maintain work breakdown structures (WBS) for small to medium-sized projects.Analyze project financial data and identify potential impacts on project outcomes.
Assist in establishing project baseline data using drawings and specifications.
Conduct cost and schedule variance analyses to ensure project efficiency.
Collect and analyze progress data reviewing performance trends to support decision-making.
Apply earned value scope control and change management methodologies.
Analyze manpower labor hours and labor costs against budget limitations.
Track purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures.
Support the project reporting process and participate in project cost review meetings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project goals and timelines.
Assist in trend analysis and forecasting to optimize project performance.
Contribute to the development and improvement of planning processes and tools.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 12 years experience in the planning/project controls field is required. Applicants would ideally have worked on major programs in transport.A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
Advanced knowledge of ORACLE Primavera P6 project management software.
Ability to develop, monitor, and control schedules.
Hands-on working knowledge of WBS coding structure, cost/schedule variance analysis.
Earned value management (EVMS), project trend, contract change, and claims.
Working knowledge of time impact analysis techniques.
