Job Description

A global luxury lifestyle brand is seeking a high-calibre Legal Counsel to join its international legal team. Based in Dubai, this is a strategic and wide-ranging role supporting global operations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and key emerging markets.

The successful candidate will partner closely with senior stakeholders, business units, and the global legal function to advise on complex commercial and regulatory matters. This role offers exceptional exposure to a fast-evolving luxury business with global reach and a commitment to operational excellence and brand integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supply, consultancy, technology, brand partnerships, logistics, real estate, and confidentiality agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide legal support on cross-border transactions, commercial strategy, contract enforcement, and corporate structuring matters.
• Deliver business-minded legal advice across global functions, including operations, partnerships, digital, communications, and innovation.

• Monitor global legal and regulatory developments, ensuring ongoing compliance across all jurisdictions of operation.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining internal compliance policies and governance frameworks in collaboration with the group legal.
• Advise on risk exposure, regulatory challenges, and mitigation strategies relevant to business expansion, digital initiatives, and cross-border activity.

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership teams globally, providing insight and legal direction aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate closely with the global legal team headquartered in Europe to ensure legal practices are aligned and consistent across the organisation.
• Contribute to strategic projects such as new market entry, global partnerships, licensing models, and innovation-driven commercial initiatives.

• Legally qualified with a law degree from a European institution; admitted to practice in a recognised jurisdiction.
• 35 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, gained at a top-tier international law firm or a global in-house legal team.
• Strong cross-border experience and ability to advise on international legal frameworks, particularly in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and emerging markets.
• Background in luxury, lifestyle, fashion, hospitality, or consumer sectors is advantageous.
• Commercially astute, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented with excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages such as Arabic or French are considered an asset.
