Job Description

The Counsellor is responsible to support students in understanding with personal issues to enhance the overall student experience on campus and enabling them to become more effective inside and outside the campus through individual and/or group counselling.

The incumbent is also responsible to support students in making appropriate choices and decisions.

Main Responsibilitie

Develop and maintain relationships with student

s.Schedule appointments with students in need as and when neede
d.Provide counselling for students on personal matters; this includes, but is not limited to, stress, anxiety, depression and eating disorder
s.Support students to cope with personal issues in a timely, effective and efficient manne
r.Support students in decision-making regarding ways forwar
d.Plan and run workshops for students for group counselling on a periodic basi
s.Liaise with faculty members to discuss student cases as and when neede
d.Develop and maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive student database; maintain confidentiality of record
s.Refer students to appropriate campus resources for assistance as and when needed (e.g. Academic Advisor, Career Coach, etc.

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required e.g. Psycholo

gy.Full English proficiency is requir
ed.Basic computer literacy is required e.g. MS Offi

ce.Experie

nceMinimum of four years of work experience in Counselling or any relevant fie
