Job Summary:
The Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring effective financial planning, reporting, and compliance. This role involves driving business growth through strategic financial planning, managing budgets and forecasts, and providing insights to support executive decision-making.The Finance Controller will also ensure adherence to financial regulations, including IFRS and local tax laws in the UAE, while overseeing the preparation of financial statements and facilitating external audits. Additionally, the Finance Controller will lead efforts to monitor financial risks, improve cost efficiency, and foster a culture of financial governance within the organization.
This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, along with expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and managing cross-departmental relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning:
- Develop and implement financial plan to drive business growth and profitability.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making at the executive level.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and local financial laws in the UAE.
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and regulatory reporting.
- Risk Management & Cost Control:
- Monitor financial risks, assess internal controls, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Analyze cash flow, P&L statements, and cost structures to optimize financial performance.
- Lead initiatives to improve cost efficiency and financial governance.
Business Partnering:
- Work closely with departments and external partners to drive financial performance.
- Provide strategic recommendations on investments, funding, and capital allocation.
- Support and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CFA) is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, IFRS
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and business analysis.
- Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced proficiency in Excel and financial tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Prior experience in multinational companies or fast-growing organizations is a plus.
