Planning Engineer
Job Description
Brief : Incumbent will be responsible for overall planning of projects, follow up, claims and claim analysis, updates of program, subcontractor engineering, materials follow up as per program, close out project documents.
Job Description:
Develop the most appropriate method and sequence of construction operations for a particular project, in conjunction with the Site Manager.
Plan and oversee the entire programme of work and must anticipate a contract's demands in terms of labor, materials, equipment and technical challenges
Presenting schedules of work, often with visual aids such as bar charts and procedures diagrams
Making CL-14 program with available drawings & information, discuss program with Project Manager/ Planning Manager.
Establish the Critical path and monitor changes on regular basis (Interrogate the validity of Critical Path in Sub-contractors programmes)
Finalize & submit programme to client/consultant & distribute internally
Updating CL-14 program regularly (collecting data from site & concerned person) & get the progress agreed by Site agent, Eng & Eng team.
Monitoring progress throughout the construction process and comparing this with the projected schedule of work and through KPI's. Identifying & informing deviations & delays.
Assist in preparing delay claim reports
Involvement with Quantity Surveyor in preparing Delay & Time Extension Claims.
Liaising with the site management team leaders throughout the process, making adjustments to projects as necessary
Regular monitoring to contract documents, drawings and daily correspondence.
Monitor sub-contractors progress and attend progress meetings
Education & Knowledge:
Degree in Engineering
Minimum 5 years of required experience as a Planning Engineer with Contracting. Experience in Finishes will be preferred.
Should be able to do Cost Analysis & delay analysis.
