Role summary
The Accounts Supervisor oversees all accounting activities related to the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role manages daily transactions, coordinates month-end and year-end closing, prepares financial statements, and ensures compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
The Accounts Supervisor leads a team of accountants and collaborates with other departments and external auditors to support financial objectives and maintain robust internal controls.

Prepare trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.

Set team goals and monitor KPIs as per the GMG performance management process. Mentor and develop junior accounting staff to enhance team capability. Promote a continuous feedback and development culture.
Technical competencies- Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Attention to detail with strong analytical mindset
- Time management and multitasking ability
- Accuracy and timeliness in general ledger reconciliations
- Strong compliance with internal financial controls and procedures
- Efficient coordination across functions for smooth financial operations
- Ability to mentor and guide junior staff effectively
Experience
Minimum of 6 years in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role preferred. Experience in a similar industry or shared services environment is an advantage.
