Role Summary:

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) plays a critical role as the primary liaison between the company and government authorities, ensuring full compliance with regulations and the smooth execution of all government-related processes. This includes managing essential tasks such as employment permits, visas, medical examinations, immigration procedures, and business licenses, while staying informed of regulatory updates.

The PRO provides timely and professional support to employees, their families, and the business, efficiently addressing all government-related requirements with accuracy and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee & Dependent Affairs
  • Manage the process of obtaining new employment visas and work permits for expatriate employees.
  • Oversee the renewal of residence permits for employees and their dependents.
  • Facilitate the issuance and renewal of residence visas for employee dependents.
  • Coordinate the renewal of expatriate passports for employees and their dependents.
  • Handle visa cancellations for departing employees and their dependents, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Business Facilitation
  • Liaise with embassies and foreign diplomatic missions to support business travel and visits.
  • Collaborate with UAE Immigration authorities to secure business entry visas for international visitors.
  • Administer and renew company and joint venture licenses, managing tax-related processes with relevant UAE authorities, such as the Economic Department, Municipality, Chamber of Commerce, and Ministry of Finance & Industries.
  • Stay updated on changes to government regulations and requirements, ensuring compliance and quick adaptation to new rules.
  • Address urgent and unforeseen tasks effectively, evaluating and prioritizing them to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation for all government interactions, maintaining clear records and facilitating efficient audits.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and their families on government-related matters, including residency, work permits, and other administrative processes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to streamline business-related transactions, enhancing efficiency in interactions with government bodies.
Ad-hoc and Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform special projects or tasks as assigned by management that extend beyond regular job duties.
  • Support other departments or teams as needed to contribute to business success.
  • Complete additional responsibilities as directed by leadership to meet organizational needs.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and be available when required in urgent cases, including outside normal working hours.
  • Perform assigned tasks in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and in other Emirates when required, based on business needs and with prior coordination with the line manager.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in administration or government relations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to managing tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including the ability to create professional presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and adapt effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in both Arabic and English, with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
