We are a fast-growing fintech company with operating subsidiaries across Sub-Saharan Africa. Our mission is to provide responsible, innovative financial solutions that promote financial inclusion and empower underserved communities. We are hiring a Financial Analyst who will be responsible for overseeing the companys financial planning, analysis, reporting, and capital management across multiple markets.
This is a high-impact role open to professionals at various levels of experience from mid-level to senior and director-level candidates, including those who have previously held CFO roles. The individual will lead the finance function independently and work closely with the executive leadership team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for the holding company and its subsidiaries
- Analyze financial and operational performance across markets; provide insights and data-driven recommendations to support strategic decisions
- Manage capital planning, monitor liquidity, and support fundraising or investor engagement efforts
- Prepare and present consolidated financial reports to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure regulatory and tax compliance across jurisdictions in Sub-Saharan Africa; collaborate with local teams to meet government and audit requirements
- Design and implement financial processes, controls, and systems to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency
- Support risk management, cost optimization, and scenario analysis in fast-changing environments
- Serve as the key financial resource for country CEOs and leadership, without direct reporting to a CFO
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Masters degree or CPA / ACCA / CIMA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, ideally within fintech, lending, or emerging markets
- Demonstrated ability to lead or independently manage financial functions across multiple countries or subsidiaries
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; proficient in Excel and financial systems
- Deep understanding of IFRS, local compliance requirements, and multi-currency operations
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability; able to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach
