Job Description

Job Purpose: Providing ambulance services to patients at the Incident site, transporting patients safely to hospitals to receive further treatment, providing coverage for Abu Dhabi activities and events, responding to major accidents, triaging the injured patients and transporting to hospitals, and documenting all these cases.

Cleans and sterilizes the ambulance vehicle

Cleans and sterilizes all devices and equipment in the ambulance vehicle

Cleans and sterilizes hands and personal items

Receive the ambulance at the beginning of the shift. Ensures that it is clean and ready to receive reports

Receive the Hytera device at the beginning of the shift and login

Receive device (EPCR) at the start of the shift and sign in

Checks the readiness and suitability of devices, equipment, and consumables inside the ambulance

Ensures the availability of medicines according to the approved numbers and ensures their validity

Prepare Reports And special examination forms for medical tools and ambulances

Receives the report and responds from the ambulance&aposs stability point to the report site and accordingly and coordinates to the operations. reports to the Bronze Ambulance Commander.

Go to the reporting tools /website from a fixed point according to the incident and coordinates.

Communicates with the operations platform to request additional information when needed

Evaluates and identifies the type of potential risks according to the report

Maintains personal protection

Requests the required support according to the type of incident (medical support, security support, logistical support, firefighting support)

Understands how to evaluate the situation in situations of emotional and psychological support.

Established report in times of distress

Assesses the needs and concerns of people or colleagues who have been exposed to trauma.

Recognizes common patterns of crisis reactions to provide appropriate assistance.

Understands how to safely deal with people in distress and protect the public from further harm

Understands how to keep the sufferer calm and control overwhelming emotions when needed

Understands how to provide emotional support and practical assistance.

The primary and secondary evaluation of the injured is carried out the field

Evaluates the general medical condition of the patient person

Deals with all trauma cases

deals with all medical cases

Provides interventions through intravenous needles

Dealing with maternity cases

Deals with all cases of children&aposs injuries

It deals with all medical cases of children

Performs advanced ECG and analysis

deals with the respiratory airway management

Provides basic and advanced first aid for cases of cardiac arrest

The system reports the casualtys condition in the electronic and paper system and uses the Hytera device

Evaluates the patient&aposs health condition that requires to be transferred to the hospital

The patient is placed on an ambulance stretcher to be transferred into the ambulance

The patient or injured person is handed over to the medical staff in the hospital

Cleans and sterilizes equipment and the ambulance after the report

The ambulance is provided with all medical supplies and medications

Communicates with operations, reports readiness

Familiarize with types of hazardous materials

Familiar with the types of clothing and personal protective equipment for hazardous materials

Familiar with how to deal with hazardous materials incidents in general

Familiar with how to deal with people injured by hazardous materials

Familiar with how to evaluate site safety and triage casualties

Arrived at the location of the report, secures the parking space for the ambulance, protects the medical staff and the patient, and inform the Bronze Ambulance Commander

It is installed in the designated places for each ambulance according to the mission assigned to it and according to the instructions of the Bronze Ambulance Commander

Wears personal protective and safety equipment according to the nuclear/radiological/chemical/biological incident response system and activates detection devices.

Surveys and evaluates the accident scene before entering to ensure the safety of the site

Assumes the roles and responsibilities according to the incident response system (nuclear, radiological, chemical, biological) if activated by those concerned.

The concerned authorities ensure that the clinical disinfection area is ready to receive infected people

Performs the medical treatment for the patients

The patient (simple and moderate cases) is transferred to the clinical facilities

The injured (serious cases) are transferred to health facilities according to the priority of each case in coordination with the bronze ambulance commander

Deals with patients and injured people according to the nature of each case (evaluation and treatment)

Received medical information about the injured in terms of the injured persons name, age, and main injury, and it is filled in the electronic patient record system PCR with proof of identity

Communicates initial information about the condition of each injured person to the team leader and the expected time for transporting the injured person to the reception gates.

Exchanging information about the condition of the injured with the Bronze Team Leader and updating constantly

Coordinates with the Bronze Ambulance Commander to complete the mission or continue transporting the injured

Replaces personal protective clothing in a safe manner in cooperation with the disinfection team when the transfer of the injured is completed and the ambulances return to the reception area

Disinfects the ambulance, and all the equipment used

Prepares periodic accident reports and major accidents.

Receives the calls and responds from the ambulance&aposs substation to the reporting site and accordingly coordinate the Process and informed Bronze Ambulance Commander

Surveys and evaluates the accident scene before entering to ensure the safety of the site

Prepare Major accidents (methane) report

Heads to the location of the incident site and receives the injured patients. Received instructions from the Bronze Ambulance Commander for the team

Does Medical triage process for injured people.

Delivers Initial information about the condition of each injured person for the team leader and the expected time for transporting the injured person to the reception gates.

Arrives at the scene and receives instructions from the Bronze Ambulance Commander, Lieutenant General

Transports injured patients to the treatment area

Triage the infected

Provides the necessary treatment wherever applicable

Transports the injured, in coordination with the operations and movement officer on site, to health facilities and provides the necessary information.

Understands the goals, tasks, and duties of the job

Understands the general specifications of ambulance vehicles.

Understand the safe driving steps before setting off

Ensures the readiness of daily inspection of ambulance vehicles

Understands risks and their types and carries out monitoring, forecasting, and predicting risks

Recognizes the dangers of speeding, handles emergencies, and is aware of accidents and the dangers of slipping and its causes

Practices traffic awareness to prevent accidents and implements safe steps during the process of dealing with sick and injured people

Understands the safe distance, stopping distance, and the importance of traffic regulations and their types

Practicing command and control with speed types and practicing defensive and preventive driving of ambulance vehicles

Understands the types of traffic accidents, their causes, driving operations, and how to deal with reports

Recognizes speeding hazards and responds to emergencies

Practicing driving operations, how to deal with reports with control, and how to overcome unsafe situations

Practicing maneuvering operations and rapid response during reports on public streets, cities, corners, and roundabouts

Required Professional Certificates:

Valid BLS, ACLS & PALS Certificate & a Trauma Certificate (PHTLS or ITLS).

Minimum years of Experience:

One years of experience post qualification as paramedic.

Qualifications:

Diploma in Emergency Medical Services.
