Job Description

Hiring in Dubai - Electrical Testing Engineer - 12 months contract (Extendable)

• You should be highly skilled in Testing of Switchgears and have experience in handling test equipment, tools and methodologies in the relevant field.
• You shall have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the same field & working as testing / commissioning engineer with switchgear / control gear experience.
• Possess knowledge of control circuits verification, testing relays and other components like Air Circuit Breakers, MCCBs, Current / Voltage Transformers, Protection Relays.
• Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
• You are at ease communicating in English

• Performing physical pre-testing activities for newly assembled Low Voltage Switchgears to ensure product quality and validating manufacturing processes.
• Conducts test protocols to ensure products, systems, or application software meet specified requirements as required by customer expectations in incoming, manufacturing, final inspection quality, including internal routine testing and Factory Acceptance Testing as applicable for Low Voltage Switchgear System & all associated components / Parts.
• Inspect, Test / verify according to the internal specifications, Project specifications, Drawings and applicable international standards while maintaining a high level of integrity.
• Inspects and troubleshoots any identified issues, determines root causes, and implements corrective actions.
• Supports quality control needs and activities for supplier quality, production quality, testing and validation, and engineering, as applicable in the local organization.
• Reports quality issues data, ensuring adherence to quality management system at all stages. Escalates product quality or safety non-conformance cases to quality control organization. Supports to resolve the problems and ensures that the non-conformances are fully addressed by following robust root cause analysis & effective corrective actions.
• Evaluates test performance & assists to develop a new or to improve the existing test protocols, as necessary.
• Utilizes safety systems to perform work, resulting in an accident-free workplace. Notifies others when unsafe situations are observed and works with local Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) teams to improve the safety systems.
• Provides feedback improvement opportunities in product and/or process design. Uses lessons learned from the field to improve testing in alignment with engineering.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Conducting test protocols, as assigned, to ensure Low Voltage Switchgear systems, Products and associated application software meet specified project / customer requirements and expectations in incoming, manufacturing, final inspection quality, including internal routine testing and Factory Acceptance Testing as applicable for Low Voltage Switchgear System
• Supporting quality control needs and activities for supplier quality, production quality, testing and validation, and engineering, as applicable in the local organization.
• Collecting, recording, and evaluating data to be interpreted according to the internal specifications, customer norms, and applicable national and/or global standards while maintaining a high level of integrity.
