KBR is looking for a Specialist Digitalization Engineer PMC project with Gas Processing experience to be based at Abu Dhabi.
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Digitalization Engineer to lead the integration of Operational Technology (OT) systems with Corporate IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enabling secure, reliable, and scalable data exchange between control systems and enterprise platforms, supporting ADNOC's digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Familiar with secure OT/IT interfaces for control systems (DCS, SCADA, PLCs).
- Ensure seamless data flow from field devices to enterprise systems (e.g., PI System, ERP, cloud).
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce network segmentation and compliance with standards (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST).
- Support deployment of digital platforms including historians, OPC servers, MQTT brokers, and edge devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve OT/IT communication issues.
- Coordinate with I&C, IT, cybersecurity, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Manage vendors and system integrators during project execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in OT/IT integration, preferably in oil & gas or industrial automation.
- Strong understanding of industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA/DA, MQTT, PROFINET).
- Experience with control systems (e.g., Honeywell, Emerson, Siemens, ABB).
- Familiarity with IT networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and standards.
- ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Certificate
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP (Industrial or Security)
- Microsoft Azure IoT or AWS IoT certifications
- PMP or equivalent project management certification (optional)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration across departments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
