The key objectives for this role are:

• Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules to ensure timely execution
• Optimizing the use of resources such as manpower, materials, and equipment
• Tracking project milestones and performance, identifying delays, and proposing corrective actions
• Collaborating with various teams to align schedules with project requirements and goals
• Identifying potential schedule risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them
• Preparing progress reports and presenting updates to stakeholders for informed decision-making

Responsibilities

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

• Review project scheduling, progress measurement, and reporting requirements for execution of the project
• Responsible for the development, maintenance, and reporting against detailed project plans
• Ensure that the overall project is delivered to meet client's schedule requirements and priorities
• Ensure that all work is performed without compromise to quality and in line with the company's procedures
• Maintain a high standard of safety at all times
• Develop a suitable work breakdown structure covering the project requirements and scope of works
• Develop, baseline, update, and maintain detailed project schedules for various phases of project execution including but not limited to design development (main responsibility), construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up
• Coordinate with client representatives, team members, contractors, and subcontractors while developing project schedules to take into account all project requirements
• Organize workshops to present and review project schedules with all concerned stakeholders to take their buy-in before baselining the schedules
• Develop and agree with the client progress measurement and reporting requirements
• Review schedules prepared by the contractors and subcontractors (wherever required) to confirm alignment with the overall master plan
• Periodically update the schedule with progress attained during the period
• Coordinate with team members, contractors, and subcontractors to prepare schedule forecasts
• Identify and highlight any emerging issues pertaining to schedule slippages and work with project manager and team to develop recovery plans
• Analyse impact of proposed changes to project scope and requirements and re-baseline the schedules to incorporate approved changes
• Prepare weekly, fortnightly, and monthly progress reports and progress curves and distribute them to the concerned stakeholders
• Attend progress review meetings with project manager, client, and contractors
• Verify physical progress as claimed by contractor and subcontractors
• Coordinate with the procurement and supply chain manager regarding procurement status of long lead equipment and bulks and update the schedules accordingly
• Provide forecasts for project completion with anticipated man-hours to facilitate the cost forecasting process

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in oil and gas industry
• Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural projects
