An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compliance Officer to join a dynamic and globally connected organisation within the commodities sector. Based in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), this permanent position offers a chance to be part of a newly established entity at the forefront of market infrastructure and benchmark administration.
Full time Dubai based role paying c. $100K-$120K per anum (you must currently be in Dubai and have GCC regional experience for this role)
The Role:
As Compliance Officer, you'll take the lead in designing and managing the compliance framework for a fast-growing business unit. This is a rare chance to shape a compliance culture from the ground up in a start-up-style environment, while aligning with global standards and best practices.Your work will ensure that regulatory requirements, ethical practices, and governance controls are embedded across all activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain compliance policies aligned with international standards.
- Oversee anti-bribery, anti-corruption, sanctions, and AML protocols.
- Conduct due diligence and KYC for clients and partners.
- Support audits, internal reviews, and regulatory reporting.
- Deliver training and promote compliance awareness across the business.
- Engage with regulators and external stakeholders as needed.
About You:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, ideally with exposure to sanctions, financial crime prevention, and due diligence.
- Background in the commodities or trading sector is essential
- Familiarity with financial benchmark standards (e.g. IOSCO) highly desirable.
- Strong integrity, decision-making ability, and communication skills.
Schedule: Full-time (minimum 3 days a week in office)
