About the Role:
We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to oversee and manage the procurement function for a start-up with projects across multiple regions(Middle East, Africa and Asia). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end procurement activities for a global organization that is expanding base across Middle East, Africa and Asia.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project timelines, budgets, and business goals.
- Source and onboard vendors, suppliers, and contractors for furniture, fixtures, technical equipment, employee uniforms etc.
- Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, facility teams, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure procurement is aligned with project needs.
- Establish procurement policies and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
- Track, monitor, and report on procurement metrics, including cost savings, delivery timelines, and supplier performance.
- Handle multi-country procurement logistics, customs requirements, and regional vendor coordination (if applicable).
- Continuously assess market trends to identify new suppliers and cost-effective alternatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement.
- Proven experience handling multi-location or regional procurement operations.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
- Knowledge of procurement software/tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) will be a plus
- Ability to work across cultures and navigate regional regulations/logistics.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in global/regional office expansion projects.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPM, or PMP) are an added advantage.
- Experience working in the Middle East, GCC, or international markets
