Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Commis Chef specializing in Mexican cuisine to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and presentation of traditional and contemporary Mexican dishes while maintaining high culinary standards and hygiene practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of authentic Mexican dishes such as tacos, enchiladas, tamales, salsas, and guacamole.
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications as directed by senior chefs.
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared according to food safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
• Support the kitchen team in mise en place and station setup.
• Follow HACCP and all food safety standards consistently.
• Contribute ideas for new Mexican-inspired menu items.
• Handle daily responsibilities as assigned by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.

Requirements:

• Basic culinary skills and knowledge of Mexican spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
