Job Description
The Internal Auditor & Governance function plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization's integrity, financial discipline, and operational excellence. The role is responsible for establishing a robust control environment by ensuring that all business activities are conducted in full compliance with internal policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and applicable regulatory requirements within the UAE.
Acting as an independent and objective assurance function, the role evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls, identifies operational and financial risks, and provides actionable insights to strengthen accountability, transparency, and performance across the organization.It serves as a key enabler of disciplined execution by ensuring that governance frameworks, approval authorities, and compliance mechanisms are clearly defined, consistently applied, and continuously improved.
In parallel, the role drives the development and enforcement of governance structures, including policies, Delegation of Authority (DOA), and compliance protocols, ensuring that decision-making is controlled, responsibilities are clearly assigned, and risks are proactively managed.
Through a combination of structured audits, risk assessments, and governance oversight, the Internal Auditor & Governance function supports leadership in protecting company assets, minimizing financial leakage, enhancing operational efficiency, and reinforcing a culture of integrity and ownership across all levels of the company.
The position plays a critical role in supporting the CEO in maintaining transparency, accountability, cost control, and governance maturity across the organization.- The Internal Auditor & Governance role exists to support the Chief Executive Officer in maintaining a fully controlled, transparent, and disciplined organization by ensuring that all company activities are executed in accordance with approved policies, authority limits, financial controls, contractual obligations, and strategic objectives.
- The position is responsible for strengthening the company's governance maturity, protecting company assets, preventing financial and operational risk, and ensuring that EVA operates in a structured, auditable, and scalable manner that supports long-term growth and value creation.
- The Internal Auditor & Governance is expected to act as an independent control function with full visibility across all departments, ensuring that business activities remain aligned with approved procedures, budgets, and contractual commitments, while identifying gaps, weaknesses, and risks before they impact company performance.
- The role contributes directly to company stability by ensuring that operations are not dependent on individuals, but instead follow clear systems, documented procedures, and approved authority structures that allow the organization to grow without losing control.
- The Internal Auditor & Governance supports the CEO in maintaining confidence that project execution, financial transactions, procurement activities, human resource practices, and administrative operations are performed with full accountability, accuracy, and compliance.
- The position is also responsible for continuously improving internal controls by identifying inefficiencies, recommending corrective actions, and ensuring that approved improvements are implemented and sustained across the organization.
- The role ensures that EVA remains audit-ready at all times by maintaining proper documentation, approval records, system accuracy, and traceability of decisions, allowing the company to operate with the level of discipline required for professional, scalable, and high-value organizations.
- The Internal Auditor & Governance also plays a critical role in protecting company profitability by verifying that project costs, procurement decisions, contract values, and operational expenses follow approved budgets and authority limits, preventing uncontrolled spending, margin loss, or unauthorized commitments.
- The position supports the CEO in maintaining full visibility on company performance by providing independent reports, identifying potential risks early, and ensuring that corrective actions are taken before issues grow into financial or operational problems.
- In addition, the Internal Auditor & Governance is responsible for ensuring that all departments respect the company's authority matrix, approval hierarchy, and system usage requirements, preventing informal decisions, undocumented commitments, or manual workarounds that may weaken governance.
- The role contributes to building a culture of accountability, discipline, and responsibility by ensuring that policies are applied consistently, deviations are documented, and corrective actions are enforced when required.
- The Internal Auditor & Governance is expected to continuously review company processes and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, reduce risk, strengthen control, and support the CEO's objective of building a fully integrated, system-driven, and professionally governed organization.
- Ultimately, the objective of the role is to ensure that EVA Interiors operates with the level of control, transparency, and governance required to support sustainable growth, protect company value, and enable the organization to scale without loss of discipline or financial integrity.
