TAX Manager -Real Estate

Reed recruitment Middle East is currently looking for a Tax Manager for one of the leading real estate company in the UAE.

Purpose of the role:

The Tax Manager will oversee and ensure the company's compliance with all direct and indirect tax obligations. This role drive tax strategy, optimize reporting processes, and manage relationships with external consultants and authorities ensuring consistent compliance with the UAE taxation laws and regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Achieve timely and accurate tax compliance for both direct and indirect taxes, including registrations, returns, audits, and assessments in line with real estate development activities.
• Check tax filings and documentation for accuracy and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, including those specific to the real estate industry.
• Coordinate with Big 4 consultants and government authorities on tax-related matters affecting Companies s projects and transactions.
• Collaborate with senior management, including the CFO, CEO, and Chairman, on tax strategy and its alignment with business and development objectives.
• Facilitate the evaluation of tax impacts on real estate development strategies, property transactions, and new investments.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in tax reporting, particularly related to real estate development and project-specific taxes.
• Implement improvements in tax reporting systems using ERP and BI tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency, tailored to companies operations.
• Manage the overall tax function within the company, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all filings and reports related to real estate projects.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of tax strategies and reporting processes in light of companies evolving portfolio and development goals.
• Supervise the tax team, providing guidance and support in managing tax compliance for real estate transactions and development projects.
• Manage the integration of tax functions within ERP systems, ensuring seamless reporting for real estate transactions and developments.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities to manage tax audits and resolve assessments concerning Companies s real estate ventures.
• Coordinate data archival and record management systems to ensure proper storage and retrieval of tax related documents specific to real estate developments.
• Facilitate automation initiatives to improve the accuracy and efficiency of tax reporting processes for companies real estate operations.
• Evaluate and recommend strategies to optimize tax structures, considering the tax implications of real estate development and investments.
• Supervise the tax compliance calendar, ensuring all deadlines are met for taxes related to real estate development projects and transactions.

Requirement:

• 8 to 10 Years of previous experience in similar position atleast 3 years in Real Estate industry
• CA Certification is must for this role
• Team management skills, proactive Details Oriented Planning and organizing skills Ability to multi-task
• Expertise in Indirect and direct taxation in UAE Experience in handling VAT audits / other Government audits Understanding of IFRS reporting from a practical perspective and its interplay with taxation laws Previous experience using Oracle or equivalent ERP + BI tools
• Real Estate industry experience is mandatory.
