Role Description

Were looking for a developer-minded technical writer to own the end-to-end documentaIon experience for our public and internal APIs. Youll translate complex engineering concepts into clear, concise,developer-friendly content and help shape the voice of our documentaIon of our internal and external APIs.

• Plan & write: author reference docs, quick-starts, how-tos, and tutorials for REST/GraphQL/streaming APIs.
• Prototype & validate: build sample apps / cURL and SDK snippets (JavaScript, Python, Go, etc.) to verify accuracy and usability.
• Informa5on architecture: design doc hierarchies, landing pages, and navigaIon that scale with product surface.
• API design reviews: sit in with product & backend teams, advocaIng for developer ergonomics and consistent naming.
• Docs tooling: maintain OpenAPI/Swagger sources, CI linIng, and staIc-site generaIon pipelines (e.g., Docusaurus, Hugo).

• 35 years professional technical wriIng focused on developer products or SaaS plaPorms.
• Previous hands-on sohware engineering experience (professional or significant side projects).
• Ability to read and write at least one modern language (e.g., TypeScript, Python, Java, Go).
• Proven ownership of an API doc set (reference + task guides).
• Fluency with OpenAPI/Swagger, Postman collecIons, and source-controlled docs workflows (Git, Markdown, Docs-as-Code).
• Strong grasp of HTTP, JSON, authenIcaIon palerns (OAuth 2.0, JWT), and versioning strategies.
• PorPolio or links to live docs demonstraIng clarity and developer empathy.

• Experience with GraphQL schemas, gRPC / protobuf, or WebSocket streaming APIs.
• Familiarity with automated doc generaIon pipelines (Redocly, Stoplight, Sphinx, etc.).
• Background contribuIng to SDKs, CLIs, or developer portals.
