Job Overview: Here&aposs your chance to step into the role of Director Financial Reporting at Dubai Holding Group Services. In this position, you&aposll take on key responsibilities that include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Close & Reporting: Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes; ensure accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS; review journals, accruals, and provisions.
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee trial balance accuracy and sub-ledger reconciliations; ensure proper transaction classifications and closing governance.
  • Controls & Reconciliations: Supervise account and bank reconciliations; implement strong internal controls; resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Process Improvement: Drive automation, standardization, and efficiency initiatives; lead continuous improvement projects using tools like Oracle, RPA, and AI.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison for finance, auditors, and business units; ensure high service levels and resolve escalations.
  • Governance & Compliance: Monitor internal controls and risk assessments; support anti-fraud measures and ensure policy compliance.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop team capabilities; track KPIs; promote a customer-focused, high-performance culture.

About you: The preferred candidate for this role should possess the following experience and credentials

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
  • Education: Bachelors in Accounting (mandatory); CA, CPA, ACCA, or ACA (required).
  • Experience: 810 years in finance/audit with 3+ years in leadership; 5+ years with a Big 4 (multinational clients); real estate and shared services experience preferred; Middle East experience a plus.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of IFRS, complex consolidations, financial controls, compliance, and governance frameworks.
  • Systems: Proficiency in Oracle EPM (Fusion, ARCS, FCCS) and advanced Excel/financial modeling.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
  • Behavioral Competencies: Strategic, customer-focused, innovative, team-oriented, and execution-driven.
