Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Planning and coordinating the transportation of goods to ensure they arrive at their designated location in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Analyzing transportation routes, methods, and carriers to determine the most efficient and economical options for moving goods
- Evaluating the performance of transportation providers and making recommendations for improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Implementing technology solutions to streamline logistics processes, such as tracking systems for inventory and shipping
- Developing and maintaining relationships with shipping carriers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Monitoring inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of goods is available for shipment, while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs
- Conducting cost-benefit analyses to determine the most cost-effective modes of transportation or shipping methods
- Creating and maintaining documentation and record keeping related to logistics and transportation activities
- Communicating with various stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams, to ensure smooth logistics operations
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, and presenting recommendations to management

Expected- Associate Degree in Supply Chain Management or similar discipline or equivalent experience at Companys discretion
- Experience in a similar role in logistics within the oil and gas, shipping, or related industry
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Functional knowledge of an ERP logistics systems
- Working knowledge with freight and logistics related systems
- Excellent analytical skill, cost conscious, disciplined and organized
