Junior Accountant

Job Description

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting senior accountants in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records related to property sales, rentals, and leasing.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely billing and collections.
• Maintain bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger updates.
• Support in month-end and year-end closings.
• Ensure proper documentation of contracts, invoices, and lease agreements.
• Assist in VAT filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Work closely with property managers and agents to verify transactions.
• Perform data entry and help prepare financial reports for management.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in real estate accounting or a similar industry (UAE experience preferred).
• Knowledge of UAE VAT laws and real estate financial processes.
• Proficient in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
• Strong skills in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Good communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Dubai Land Department (DLD) regulations.
• Experience working with tenancy contracts and property management systems.
• Basic knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
