Event Operations Manager / Projects Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Event Operations Manager / Projects Manager to lead the planning and execution of large-scale events, exhibitions, and activations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing operational workflows, ensuring client satisfaction, and leading cross-functional teams from concept to execution.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end event operations including planning, budgeting, logistics, and execution
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
Coordinate with internal departments (creative, production, technical, procurement) and external vendors
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and workflows
Conduct site visits, prepare layouts, and ensure venue compliance with safety and event regulations
Lead client meetings, presentations, and progress updates
Manage and train operational/event staff, including onsite crew and freelancers
Oversee the installation and dismantling of event setups
Handle risk management, contingency planning, and troubleshooting
Monitor and control project costs and negotiate with suppliers to optimize value
Ensure high-quality execution that aligns with brand and client expectations
Qualifications & Skills:
5+ years of experience in event operations or project management in the events industry
Strong understanding of production, logistics, and on-ground operations
Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, MS Project)
Excellent leadership, organizational, and time-management skills
Strong communication and negotiation abilities
Ability to work under pressure and manage events of varying scales
Worked on major government or private sector events
Experience with large exhibitions, festivals, or conferences
