Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Lead the technical direction and strategy for ZTE's RAN product portfolio, including 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G NR (New Radio).

Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to define the RAN roadmap and ensure alignment with company objectives and market demands.

Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in all aspects of RAN technologies, providing guidance on product development, customer deployments, and operational strategies.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

Manage a team of RAN engineers and technical experts, ensuring a high level of technical excellence and innovation across all RAN-related projects.

Foster a collaborative environment, driving the adoption of best practices in system design, deployment, and troubleshooting.

Work with R&D, Product Management, and Sales teams to ensure product alignment with customer requirements and market trends.

Lead and mentor teams, ensuring professional growth and knowledge transfer within the organization.

Technical Support & Customer Engagement

Provide high-level technical support for ZTE's RAN products and solutions to internal teams and external customers.

Act as the primary technical point of contact for key accounts, ensuring that their needs and requirements are met.

Drive pre-sales and post-sales engagements, supporting solution architecture, technical presentations, and customer workshops.

Oversee the deployment and optimization of RAN solutions in customer networks, ensuring successful and efficient rollouts.

Product Development and Innovation

Collaborate with R&D teams to define new product features and functionalities based on market feedback, technological advancements, and industry trends.

Drive continuous innovation in RAN technologies, particularly in the areas of 5G, virtualized RAN (vRAN), and network slicing.

Provide feedback to the product management team to influence the evolution of ZTE's RAN solutions and ensure they remain competitive in the market.

Network Performance and Optimization

Oversee the monitoring, analysis, and optimization of RAN networks to ensure high performance, low latency, and seamless user experience.

Establish best practices for network planning, RF design, and optimization of coverage and capacity for both traditional and virtualized RAN networks.

Lead troubleshooting and fault resolution activities for critical RAN issues, working with cross-functional teams to quickly resolve customer pain points.

Requirements

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Advanced certifications or training in RAN technologies (e.g., LTE, 5G) or network architecture would be an asset.

10+ years of experience in telecommunications, with at least 5 years in a senior technical leadership role within RAN, wireless technologies, or mobile networks.

Proven experience in leading large-scale RAN projects, from design to deployment and optimization.

Deep understanding of RAN architecture, radio technologies, and the evolution from 2G to 5G, including vRAN, C-RAN, and network slicing.

Hands-on experience in the integration, optimization, and troubleshooting of RAN networks.
