Oversee and manage large projects for Noatum Ports (global scope) from deal signing until country specific project team is mobilized.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage Noatum Ports projects from deal signing until local project team is mobilised ensuring all work streams (busines and asset) are effectively mobilised to deliver the business case.
- Optimise value through the mobilisation of execution phase ensuring the right cross-functional tradeoffs are made.
- Drive cost-effective use of external consultants and contractors.
- Conduct proactive cross-fucntional stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Drive the effective use of an integrated project schedule.
- Ensure an effective and realistic resource plan is established including proactive mobilisation of on-location project team.
- Lead assigned project team resources from functions towards successful teamwork.
- Ensure there is clear accountability for all project deliverables.
- Define work package and tender strategy in collaboration with Asset delivery team and Procurement.
- Proactively bring forward issues and opportunites for leadership attention ensuring these can be addressed early while the opportunity to do so is largest.
- Drive clear change management control for scope changes ensuring impact is understood before changes are pursued.
- Ensure project reporting and documentation are well maintained.
- Assess potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project success and compliance with safety regulations.
- Early engament with Business Development team to ensure business case is implementable and faclitating a smooth handover of responsibilities.
- Facilitate input to BD team enabling them to access implementation and operation experience.
- Ensure a clear baseline is established including scope, business case and timeline.
- Contribute to the establishment of Noatum Ports project management practices.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across group departments.
People Management Responsibilities:
- Lead assigned project team resources from internal departments.
- Lead assigned consultants and contractors mobilised before local project team.
- Drive and participate in the recruitment and selection process of local project teams.
- Mediate conflicts and facilitate resolution among team members or stakeholders to maintain a collaborative work environment.
- Bachelor&aposs degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering or a related field. Master&aposs degree is a plus
- Project Management Certification (PMP , CAPM , CBA or similar) is advantageous
