Annual Tax-Free Salary: £40,000 - £54,500 +Benefits including housing, flight allowance, medical and gratuity (worth over £15,000)

Contract: Full-time, fixed term for 2 years

Aston Education is working with a thriving and vibrant British international school in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. They are looking for a full-timeAssistant Headteacher - KS1 to start in August 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent KS1 Teacher with proven experience raising achievement and coaching to support improved teaching and learning in Key Stage 1.

The job responsibilities include:

The Assistant Headteacher - KS1 holds strategic and operational responsibility for Key Stage 1. The school has over 10 forms of entry on Year 1 and Year 2.

As the Assistant Headteacher - KS1, you'll ensure that the provision across Key Stage 1 reflects the highest standards of teaching, learning, safeguarding, and pastoral care.

The successful applicant will work in collaboration with the Primary Senior Management team to ensure outstanding outcomes for their students.

You will not have a class teacher responsibility, but you'll be in class coaching and curriculum planning. You'll also be required to cover in the event of an absence.

Skills and Qualifications required:

  • QTS
  • Bachelor of Education (BEd) or PGCE and a relevant degree
  • Proven experience raising achievement and coaching to support improved teaching and learning
  • Successful UK leadership and management experience of KS1 at a primary school
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for KS1
  • Commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and community
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
