LPG Trader – Physical Trading

Job Description

Our client is an established and entrepreneurial energy trading company looking to strengthen its LPG trading activities through the strategic hire of an LPG Trader with long-term growth potential.

This is not a plug-and-play trading seat. The mandate is designed for a commercially minded trader capable of progressively building and developing an LPG book within a fast-growing trading platform.

The successful candidate will join a company with a strong physical trading culture, a long-term vision, and the ambition to further expand its global energy trading footprint.

• Develop and grow LPG trading activities within the group
• Identify and originate profitable trading opportunities across physical LPG markets
• Build and maintain relationships with counterparties, suppliers and end-buyers
• Contribute to the gradual development of an LPG desk and trading strategy
• Work closely with management and trading leadership to align risk exposure and commercial strategy
• Understand and manage paper exposure, hedging and market positioning
• Collaborate internally with existing fuel oil and crude trading teams
• Participate in the long-term expansion of the trading platform and future asset-backed opportunities

• 7–10 years of experience in LPG trading or closely related energy markets
• Strong understanding of physical LPG markets and trading dynamics
• Existing commercial relationships and transferable business are a plus
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to develop business progressively
• Strong understanding of trading risk, paper markets and market structure
• Commercially agile, relationship-driven and solutions-oriented
• Comfortable operating within an evolving and fast-paced trading environment
• Team-oriented personality with a long-term mindset and cultural fit approach
