This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer - Offshore with a proven track record in overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems on offshore platforms to ensure safe and efficient operation for a high-profile client.

The key objectives for this role are:

• Leading the design and implementation of electrical systems for offshore platforms to ensure they meet project specifications and operational requirements
• Ensuring that all electrical systems comply with safety regulations and standards to protect personnel and equipment
• Developing and overseeing maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems
• Managing electrical engineering projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Providing technical expertise and support to engineering teams and operations personnel
• Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with electrical systems on offshore platforms
• Ensuring that all electrical work meets quality standards and specifications

Responsibilities

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

• Lead the team of engineers and designers
• Responsible for the design and approval of all electrical work on assigned projects
• Ensure that detail design methods, standards, and data used on assigned projects meet the clientu2019s requirements
• Participate in project scheduling and project review activities
• Carry out calculations and studies required to finalize electrical equipment specifications
• Prepare material requisitions and technical bid evaluations for electrical equipment on assigned projects
• Assist the designers in the preparation of electrical drawings such as SLDs, protection and control schematics, and layout drawings
• Review vendor documents to ensure equipment vendors provide timely and quality input into design packages
• Review all third-party discipline design work
• Understand the contract quality management system and ensure these requirements are met
• Actively communicate with other disciplines to optimize areas of interface during the design development, review, and check processes
• Be proficient in the use of ETAP, Navisworks, lighting calculation software (Dialux etc.), and MS Office
• Set up and maintain electrical databases on assigned projects
• Carry out electrical engineering work as required by the lead electrical engineer in accordance with the agreed project schedule
• Attend factory acceptance tests (FATs) and site acceptance tests (SATs) for electrical equipment (or equipment with significant electrical content) on assigned projects

Expected:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the offshore/onshore oil and gas industry, including a minimum of five (5) years (preferred) in the GCC region
• Must have at least three (3) years of experience in a lead electrical engineering role
