What will you be doing?

The function requires engineering inputs to all operational activities for offshore and onshore logistic support.

The SPOE can also be assigned to a specific tender for the Middle East where they will develop the execution plan, the associated offshore schedule, define the marine spread requirements and associated logistics plan for onshore and offshore purpose.

The Operations Engineer is responsible for:

• Ensuring that the offshore spreads are prepared and ready for offshore operations, with particular attention to certification, bridging documentation, SIMOPS, and safety assurance process. Float over spread preparation as a key point.
• Ensuring that the installation spreads have full support in terms of logistics, transportation, safety, and certification, primarily for the float over spread.
• Carrying out the role using the company support department and the in-country logistic organization.
• Seconding the Project Operation Manager in his duties. This job description is to be read in conjunction with POM's job description.
• Attending morning conference calls with vessels.
• Reviewing the offshore installation procedures established by the project's engineering.
• Assisting project engineers and field engineers for vessel readiness and mobilization activities. Ensuring project equipment is mobilized in an efficient and timely fashion.
• Liaising with regional and group departments such as OR, Survey, ROV etc. for any specific requirement related to the project's operation, in terms of crew, equipment, spares etc.
• Developing and issuing requisitions for the supply of operations and logistic dedicated equipment.
• Supervising material tracking activity through the project's material tracker, and ensuring equipment inspection, readiness, delivery, tracking, and demobilization.
• Reviewing all 3rd party spread standard operating procedures.

• Minimum of 7 to 10 years' experience in sub-sea construction including shallow water operations, shore pull, trenching and dredging.
• Experience in large EPCI and SURF, in particular logistic supports, mobilization, field engineering, transit and TI processes.
• Skilled in coordination of support services and subcontractors.
• Fluent in English. Knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.
• Skilled in communication and team spirit.
• Skilled for planning development with Microsoft Project.
