Head of Product & Marketing

The role reporting to the SEO will have the following responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a product and marketing plan aligned with the organisation's long-term growth strategy
  • Assess client needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes to identify product gaps and expansion opportunities.
  • Develop and launch investment products, leveraging in-house investment capabilities or appointing third-party managers that align with company's strategic intend.
  • Manage existing model portfolio advisors, master fund managers, and GPs for Islamic platforms to ensure optimal fund performance and strategic synergy.
  • Collaborate closely with portfolio managers to ensure product offerings align with the organisation's investment philosophy and objectives.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of investment products, monitoring performance, conducting post-launch evaluations, and making necessary refinements including product features based on regulatory updates and client feedback.
  • Oversee DFSA requirements for service provider reviews to ensure ongoing due diligence is performance by relevant function in the firm
  • Develop and execute product launch strategies, marketing campaigns, and investor engagement including DDQ and engagements with product gatekeepers of various wealth managers to get them approved.
  • Lead the creation of marketing materials, including investment presentations, factsheets, and fund commentary, ensuring compelling investor communication.
  • Ensure all products comply with regulatory frameworks across Dubai, Riyadh, Luxembourg, Cayman, and other jurisdictions.
  • Establish governance structures that uphold ethical business practices in fund management.
  • Manage relationships with third-party fund advisors, fostering collaboration and optimizing fund performance.
  • Develop strategic partnerships to drive product innovation and expand market reach.

A successful Head of Product & Marketing should have:

  • 15+ years in investment management industry/department, product development, or fund structuring, with a strong foundation in Islamic finance.
  • Deep understanding of Sharia-compliant investments, Sukuk strategies, and global investment product dynamics.
  • Proven ability to drive product innovation, market positioning, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and investor engagement capabilities.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with investment fund regulations across key jurisdictions.
