The key objectives for this role are:
Ensure all designs and structures are safe, durable, and meet engineering standards.Oversee planning, execution, and timely delivery of civil and structural engineering projects.
Ensure all designs and constructions comply with local laws, codes, and environmental regulations.
Guide and mentor a team of engineers, fostering collaboration and skill development.
Develop efficient structural solutions while staying within budget constraints.
Apply modern techniques and tools to improve design efficiency and sustainability.
RESPONSIBILITIESKey Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Develop Civil & Structural design from the Conceptual Stage through the Detailed Design Stage, providing sustainable and efficient solutions.Involve in the Design and Development of the following for Greenfield and/or Brownfield large Oil and Gas Projects
Establish Design Basis, technical specifications/philosophies, work scope/tender documents/narratives
Review design of Plant layouts, roads, drainage systems, etc
Checking Calculations, General Arrangement, Detail Drawings, 3D Models and MTO
Guide/review design of different types of concrete and steel structures and develop engineering calculations for
Structures like Pipe racks/ Pipe bridges, SleepersProcess structures/Equipment support structures
Equipment foundations such as Heat Exchangers, Vertical & Horizontal Vessels/drums, Columns/ Towers, very large Tanks, Spheres, etc.
Dynamic load structures of Compressor & Pumps
Equipment Shelters, Plant Buildings like Control Room, Substation buildings, Admin blocks, Site Camps, Blast resistance design of Buildings and Structures
Review and interpretation of Topographical and Geotechnical reportsReview and Design of UG services design, Architectural Design, Modularization Design, and Prefabricated buildings
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., BS, AISC, ACI, ASCE, Client Specifications).
Evaluate supplier/subcontractor technical bids for compliance to internal & client specifications and scopes of work.
Review of vendor drawings/other discipline drawings for adequacy of Civil design input requirementsOptimize design solutions to meet budget constraints without compromising quality and safety.
Prepare & Review Civil materials technical reports, Method statements, and Vendor Technical Clarifications and prepare Technical Bid Evaluation reports.
