Role Overview
A prestigious Private Family Office supporting a high-net-worth Principal is seeking an experienced Investment Manager / Investment Associate / Portfolio Associate to assist in the oversight and management of a globally diversified investment portfolio across public markets, private equity, alternatives, and structured investments.
This role combines technical investment oversight (50%) with strategic coordination and stakeholder liaison (50%), acting as the key interface between the Principal and external financial institutions. The mandate focuses on disciplined capital deployment aligned with a long-term objective of achieving 5% returns above inflation while preserving capital stability.
This is a high-trust, Principal-facing role within a lean and dynamic investment environment.
Key Responsibilities
Investment & Portfolio Management- Monitor performance across multi-asset portfolios including equities, fixed income, private equity, hedge funds, structured products, and real assets
- Evaluate portfolio positioning relative to benchmarks and inflation-adjusted targets
- Conduct investment research and due diligence on fund opportunities, direct investments, and alternative strategies
- Review investment proposals from private banks and asset managers with independent assessment
- Track commitments, drawdowns, distributions, and exits across private market investments
- Prepare concise investment summaries and performance dashboards for the Principal
Alternative Investments & Structuring Exposure
Support evaluation of:
- private equity funds
- co-investment opportunities
- private credit strategies
- direct investments
Review subscription agreements, term sheets, and investment documentation
Coordinate with legal and tax advisors on investment execution
Maintain pipeline visibility across counterparties and opportunities
External Advisor & Private Bank Coordination
Act as a central liaison between the Principal and:
- private banks
- custodians
- wealth managers
- asset managers
- legal advisors
- tax consultants
Responsibilities include:
- consolidating reporting across institutions
- reviewing recommendations from counterparties
- ensuring alignment with portfolio strategy
- maintaining oversight of investment execution workflows
Liquidity Planning & Internal Coordination
Work closely with internal finance stakeholders to:
- align investment activity with liquidity requirements
- coordinate capital calls and distributions
- track treasury movements across holdings
- support integration between personal and business investment exposure
- Maintain structured investment documentation and records
- consolidate portfolio exposure across institutions
- prepare periodic investment performance reports
- support governance, compliance readiness, and audit documentation where required
