Summary: We are seeking a forward-thinking and highly strategic Director of PR & Events to lead our global PR strategy and oversee the execution of select high-impact brand events. This role will focus primarily on driving future-facing PR narratives that elevate Huda Beauty's global presence, reputation, and cultural relevance.The ideal candidate is a strategic storyteller and communications innovator who thrives on building brand affinity through disruptive, earned media campaigns and cutting-edge PR tactics.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership- Develop and execute an integrated global PR strategy aligned with brand, marketing, and business objectives
- Serve as a key thought partner to the Founder and senior leadership on strategic storytelling, brand voice, and media positioning
- Ensure PR efforts reflect innovation, cultural agility, and a future-focused approach to brand communications
- Continuously evolve the brand's storytelling architecture to adapt to emerging cultural shifts, media trends, and consumer behaviors
- Own and evolve the Huda Beauty global PR function to lead the industry in storytelling, innovation, and earned influence
- Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier editors, global media outlets, creators, influencers, and thought leaders
- Lead PR efforts across product launches, brand milestones, founder initiatives, and social impact campaigns
- Architect storytelling campaigns that engage diverse communities and highlight our brand's leadership in innovation, ethics, and inclusivity
- Represent the brand in high-level communications and manage founder interviews and press opportunities
- Collaborate with internal comms and leadership to ensure alignment in internal narratives and employee advocacy
- Champion modern PR formats including experiential PR, brand journalism, real-time reactive storytelling, and content co-creation with creators
- Stay ahead of evolving media trends, social-first storytelling and emerging digital ecosystems
- Integrate non-traditional media and cross-platform storytelling strategies to maintain cultural relevance
- Partner with digital and content teams to build a powerful owned media presence that complements earned and paid channels
- Explore emerging tech for predictive media targeting, campaign optimization, and content generation
- Oversee strategic planning and execution of key global brand events, including high-impact launches, influencer activations, and thought leadership moments
- Partner with marketing, creative, and regional teams to ensure event experiences align with brand narratives and global PR strategy
- Localize events across key regions while maintaining elevated, consistent brand expression
- Develop and maintain robust crisis communication protocols
- Provide strategic counsel to leadership on sensitive or time-critical brand matters
- Define KPIs and reporting frameworks to evaluate PR impact and event ROI
- Lead budgeting for all PR and event initiatives, ensuring spend is strategic and optimized
- Leverage media analytics and social listening tools to inform strategy, optimize storytelling, and proactively manage reputation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in public relations and event management, preferably in the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industry
- Proven success leading large-scale global campaigns and immersive brand experiences
- Deep knowledge of both classic and digital media landscapes
- Established network of media and influencer contacts
- Strong crisis communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Multilingual and global experience is a plus
