Wet Utilities Inspector

Our Global PMC Client has a new requirement for a well experienced Wet Utilities Inspector to join their team in Madinat Zayed, Abu Dhabi, UAE to work on a new infrastructure project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Wet Utilities Inspector working in a recognised PMC or Consultancy company background.Preference will be given to those who have worked on infrastructure projects in the UAE / GCC previously.
This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 6 Month Contract position as an outsource, employed by J10 Consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attending to Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by the contractor and taking appropriate action in a timely manner.
- Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements, and international best practices.
- Report any works carried out by the contractor found to not be in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications, and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.
- Monitor the quality of work and assess the safety at site, including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual / QCS specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
- Maintain records for daily activities on site, including progress photos, and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.
- Prepare surveillance report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site and non conformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
- Check and ensure effective co-ordination between discipline related work and all other disciplines.
- Provide technical input and experience to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.

- Building and facility construction and associated site development.
- Preparing daily, weekly and monthly report as per the Project requirements.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Previous experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects including wet utilities within UAE.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction specifications and processes related to civil inspection.
- Strong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently.
Salary: AED 10,000 to 14,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
