We are looking for a Merchandising Specialist of On, who will be responsible for maintaining effective communication with the brand principal and ensuring the optimal presentation of the product range; support the enhancement of display commerciality in alignment with brand standards with the support of the Retail merchandising specialist; ensuring constant communication with the GCC distributors is maintained to provide the required guidelines are communicated and implemented on time.
The role works with the Visual Merchandising Manager and relevant business partners to develop and implement the ongoing visual merchandising strategy. Responsible for managing the operational aspects of visual merchandising team, and for planning and organizing store displays to drive business and increase sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational- Utilizes visual merchandising techniques to secure optimal range presentation and increase commerciality of displays in line with brand guidelines, presentation standards and instruction.
- Collaborates with the Brand for activations, seasonal animations and events.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on VM operations progress against deadlines, milestones and KPI's.
- Lead the teamwork briefing in conjunction with the VM Manager ensuring that the team are updated on activities and changes.
- Acts as the point of contact for ensuring resources are available to support projects and department objectives
- Ensures visual merchandising teams work maintains a professional, high-quality standard at a high detailed level and takes actions to remedy deviations from expected standards.
- Liaises with other departments within the organization (e.g. Brand Management, Marketing, Finance, Logistics etc) to ensure work is executed in line with expectations.
- Works collaboratively with other Team leaders to ensure department resources are managed efficiently and department objectives are achieved .
- Controls costs and avoids unnecessary waste of resources in line with department or project budgets.
- Keeps up-to-date on competitors and market trends with regular retail visits and utilizes this to identify opportunities.
- To generate periodic report and share with the stakeholders.
- Ensure all visual merchandisers have received the necessary training to competently perform safely and securely in their roles
- Provides the team with clear direction and ensures individuals understand what is expected of them.
- Delegates work appropriately to teams (considering abilities and resources available).
- Defines and communicates standards of behavior and work; takes action when individuals fail to meet expected standards.
- Provides others with clear feedback on their performance on a regular basis and provides coaching, expert advice and other appropriate support where required.
- Participate in building a diverse and competent team of individuals.
In order to be successful in this role, you should have:
- Higher Secondary School or equivalent.
- 3-5 years job related experience and 2-4 years of Visual Merchandising field work experience.
- Valid UAE driver's license.
- Retail industry experience.
- Workplace health and safety certificate is preferable.
