Post-Doctoral Associate in the Division Science (Mathematics) - Dr. Tej-Eddin Ghoul
Job Description
The Science Division at New York University Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Post-doctoral Associate position in the area of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs), with a focus on singularity formation and long-time dynamics of solutions.
The successful applicant will work under the supervision of Dr. Tej-Eddine Ghoul on analytical and numerical problems related to nonlinear PDEs arising in mathematical physics and geometry. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, blow-up behavior, scattering, soliton dynamics, and stability analysis of solutions to evolution equations.
This project lies at the intersection of rigorous PDE theory, dynamical systems, and applied analysis. The postdoctoral associate will join a vibrant research group and will be expected to contribute to ongoing projects as well as develop independent lines of inquiry aligned with the broader goals of the lab.Opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, mentoring of junior researchers, and teaching may also be available.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a PhD in mathematics, applied mathematics, or a closely related field. Strong background in the analysis of nonlinear PDEs is required. Experience with numerical simulations or computational methods is a plus but not essential.
