Turner Lovell are specialist recruiters for digital grid, energy automation, and transmission infrastructure projects across the Middle East. On behalf of a global leader in grid innovation and software-driven infrastructure, we are hiring a sales leader to drive the growth of their automation software portfolio across the MENAT region.

Our client is at the forefront of decarbonisation, energy security, and digital transformation, focused on grid digitalisation. They provide advanced solutions for asset performance management, digital substations, cyber security, device management, and distribution automation.

You'll lead business strategy and customer engagement with utilities, transmission operators, and industrial power users to expand adoption of these software platforms and services.

Key responsibilities
  • Own sales strategy and growth of automation software solutions across MENAT.
  • Deliver on business targets including orders, margin (CCM%), and market penetration.
  • Lead major account engagement with utilities, grid operators, and industrial power users.
  • Build and lead a dedicated software sales team in the region.
  • Position value-driven solutions for grid optimisation, automation, and resilience.
  • Coordinate closely with regional sales leaders, key account managers, and technical stakeholders.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to negotiation and contract closure.
  • Collaborate with global product, marketing, and engineering teams to shape client offerings.
  • Drive pipeline visibility, forecasting, and opportunity management using CRM tools.
  • Support market sizing analysis, growth planning, and key account development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field; MBA is an advantage.
  • 8-15 years of experience in digital solutions, automation, OT/IT software, or energy systems.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of enterprise software sales experience with a strong track record.
  • Deep understanding of grid automation, protection systems, digital substations, APM, or cybersecurity.
  • Excellent commercial, client engagement, and solution-selling capabilities.
  • Experience managing sales teams and leading growth across multiple countries.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM or equivalent sales platforms.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (French is a plus).
  • Willing to travel across the MENAT region frequently.
