QC Engineer

Job Summary

VirtualMaze is looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented QC Engineer to join our team in the UAE. The candidate will be responsible for testing and validating software applications, identifying technical issues, ensuring product quality, and coordinating with developers to resolve defects.

• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing of web and mobile applications.
• Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Identify, document, track, and follow up on bugs and technical issues.
• Test APIs using tools such as Postman and validate API responses.
• Perform basic SQL/database testing and data validation.
• Understand application requirements and verify that developed features meet the requirements.
• Conduct UI/UX and cross-platform testing on web and mobile applications.
• Perform regression testing after bug fixes and new releases.
• Work closely with developers to identify the root cause of technical issues.
• Verify fixes and ensure defects are properly resolved before deployment.
• Maintain proper testing reports and documentation.
• Support UAT and production-release testing when required.
• Monitor application performance and report technical issues.
• Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical team members.

• Strong knowledge of Software Testing / QA processes.
• Manual testing experience.
• Knowledge of API testing – Postman / Swagger.
• Basic to good knowledge of SQL and databases.
• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods and status codes.
• Knowledge of web and mobile application testing.
• Familiarity with Git/GitLab/GitHub is an advantage.
• Knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium is an advantage.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand technical requirements and communicate issues clearly.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in Software QA/QC or Testing.
• UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
• Candidates with experience in mobile applications, web applications, APIs, and technical products will be preferred.

Deployment Requirement

The selected candidate will be required to work and be deployed in the UAE and coordinate directly with the VirtualMaze technical/project teams.
