Role Description

The Facilities Operations Manager is responsible for managing facilities operations, infrastructure maintenance, and workplace services to ensure safe, efficient, and high-performing business environments. This role focuses on operational planning, preventive maintenance, vendor management, workplace optimization, and compliance governance while supporting organizational productivity and business continuity initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing daily facilities operations, maintenance activities, and workplace support services across organizational sites
  • Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules, infrastructure improvement programs, and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Monitoring facilities KPIs, maintenance performance metrics, operational reliability indicators, workplace safety outcomes, and service delivery standards
  • Collaborating with engineering, HR, procurement, security, operations, and executive leadership teams on facilities-related initiatives
  • Managing vendor relationships, contractor coordination, service agreements, procurement support, and operational service contracts
  • Ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations, environmental standards, operational governance policies, and inspection requirements
  • Supporting office space planning, workplace modernization, sustainability initiatives, and facilities transformation projects
  • Preparing operational reports, maintenance analysis, and strategic recommendations for management review
  • Driving process improvement, workflow optimization, and operational scalability initiatives across facilities management functions
  • Managing facilities budgets, inventory planning, utility monitoring, and resource allocation activities
  • Supporting emergency response planning, business continuity coordination, and operational risk management initiatives
  • Leading facilities teams, technical workforce coordination, and cross-functional operational support activities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5–12 years of experience in facilities operations, building management, maintenance coordination, or workplace services roles
  • Strong understanding of facilities management, preventive maintenance, infrastructure operations, and vendor management practices
  • Experience managing CMMS systems, ERP platforms, maintenance reporting tools, and operational dashboards
  • Familiarity with workplace safety regulations, environmental compliance standards, and business continuity planning is advantageous
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple operational priorities and facilities projects effectively
  • Strong safety awareness, operational planning, and governance mindset
  • Experience in healthcare, logistics, hospitality, manufacturing, retail, commercial property, education, or multinational corporate environments is an advantage
