Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Officer to join our team and ensure a safe working environment across all production areas. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in health and safety within creative industries, events, or construction, and hold relevant certifications.
Responsibilities- Conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
- Identify potential hazards, perform risk assessments, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Advise producers and production teams on all health and safety-related issues.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Promote a positive health and safety culture across all production areas.
- Develop strong working relationships with production teams to influence behavior and encourage adherence to safety best practices.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of safety procedures and policies.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within creative industries, events, or construction.
- Recognized health and safety certifications such as:
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (preferred)
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification (General Industry or Construction)
- IOSH Managing Safely
- First Aid and Fire Safety Certification from accredited providers
- ISO 45001:2018 - Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems
- ISO 14001 - Environmental Management Systems (optional but beneficial)
- Strong awareness of local health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Proven ability to identify hazards and assess associated risks.
- Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Confident and flexible in applying procedures, with the ability to adapt to frequent changes.
- Prior experience in safety roles within creative environments, event production, or construction is preferred.
