Senior Program Manager

Job Description

Forsyth Barnes are currently supporting a leading retail organisation in the UAE on a critical transformation programme, and are seeking an experienced IT Programme Manager with a strong background in retail environments.

This role will sit at the heart of a large-scale transformation initiative, driving the delivery of infrastructure, network, and enterprise technology programmes across a complex, multi-site retail estate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale IT programmes across retail environments (500+ sites preferred)
• Manage cross-functional stakeholders across technology, operations, and senior leadership
• Drive programme governance, reporting, and executive-level communication
• Oversee vendor and third-party delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and SLAs
• Identify and mitigate risks across multiple workstreams, ensuring successful delivery
• Build and maintain programme roadmaps aligned to wider business transformation objectives

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience delivering IT or technology programmes within the retail sector
• Strong understanding of infrastructure and networking (WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, cloud environments)
• Experience managing complex, multi-vendor environments
• Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and delivery levels
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with exposure to C-suite or senior leadership
• Experience working within large transformation or ERP programmes (e.g. SAP, Oracle) is highly advantageous
