We are currently recruiting a Senior Officer - Non Marine Claims (Property, Financial Lines, Engineering, Liabilities & Energy)for our client based in Abu-Dhabi, UAE.
Job Summary:
The Senior Officer - Property, Financial Lines, Engineering, Liabilities & Energy Claims (Indirect) is responsible for end‑to‑end handling, assessment, and management of indirect non‑marine insurance claims. The role ensures claims are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with policy terms, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements, while delivering high levels of customer service to policyholders, brokers, and stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow departmental policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines to ensure consistent and compliant claims handling.
- Collect, review, and validate claim information and supporting documents from clients and intermediaries.
- Coordinate with policyholders, brokers, and stakeholders to obtain missing or additional information.
- Create, update, and maintain accurate claim files in the claims management system.
- Set, monitor, and revise claim reserves based on claim exposure and complexity.
- Handle incoming and outgoing claims enquiries efficiently and professionally.
- Execute claims handling strategies within approved authority limits.
- Appoint and liaise with surveyors, loss adjusters, and technical experts as required.
- Review and assess surveyor or adjuster reports and challenge findings when necessary.
- Evaluate and settle Property, Financial Lines, Engineering, Liability, and Energy claims in line with policy coverage.
- Prepare and submit regular and ad‑hoc claims reports to management.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients and brokers throughout the claims lifecycle.
- Resolve claim‑related queries promptly to meet service standards and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Identify invalid or non‑covered claims and process repudiations with appropriate approvals.
- Escalate complex, high‑value, or sensitive claims to the Claims Manager.
- Detect and flag suspicious claims for audit or investigation.
- Contribute to claim review discussions to achieve fair and compliant outcomes.
- Provide timely and accurate management information on claim status and performance.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving claims processes and service delivery.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate should possess Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in Non‑Marine / General Insurance claims, preferably in Property, Financial Lines, Engineering, Liability, or Energy claims
- Relevant insurance or claims certifications are an advantage
- Strong technical understanding of non‑marine insurance policies
- Ability to manage multiple claims efficiently.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
