QA/QC Engineer – Structural Steel (On Site)

We are seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Engineer – Structural Steel to join our Dubai team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in bridge projects and a solid background in structural steel fabrication, erection, and inspection. A valid UAE Driving License is mandatory for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain the project’s Quality Management System in compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Review, interpret, and ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and relevant standards for structural steel works.
- Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials, fabricated steel structures, and on-site installations.
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test records, NCRs, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with project teams, clients, and third-party inspectors to ensure smooth quality control processes.
- Monitor welding, bolting, and coating activities to ensure adherence to applicable codes and standards.
- Ensure proper calibration of inspection and testing equipment.
- Provide technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors on quality-related matters.
- Participate in internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE).
- 4 – 8 years of experience in QA/QC for structural steel works, specifically in bridge projects.
- Preferred certifications: CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, NACE, BGAS, FROCIO.
- UAE experience preferred.
- Own car and valid UAE Driving License (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of relevant international standards (AWS D1.1, AISC, ASTM, BS EN, ISO).
- Proficient in preparing and reviewing ITPs, method statements, and material submittals.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
