Principal Electrical Design Engineer

Salary: 30-40k AED/pm

What Youll Be Doing:

• Lead the full electrical design lifecycle for major data centre projects from concept through to site delivery.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams MEP, IT, architects to integrate intelligent, resilient systems.
• Take charge of load calculations, power distribution, redundancy modelling, and energy efficiency strategies.
• Deliver best-in-class documentation, tender evaluations, and technical submissions.
• Provide on-site inspections, QA, and troubleshooting throughout construction and commissioning.
• Mentor junior engineers and take ownership of client and contractor relationships.

Requirements:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor&aposs or Masters).
• 10+ years experience in MEP design with a strong portfolio in data centre projects.
• 5+ years in a lead consultancy role on data centre design hyperscale experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and SKM Power Tools.
• Expertise in fault current analysis, voltage drop, harmonics, load calcs, cooling loads, SPOF and grounding.
• Strong grasp of global standards IEEE, NFPA, ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, ISO/IEC, TIA, BSI.
• ATD certification a bonus, but not essential.
• Brilliant communicator both written and verbal and confident dealing with technical and client-side stakeholders.
