General Summary:
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Director of Data Science to lead our AI/ML Ops and data science engineering initiatives. You will have a deep understanding of AI/ML stacks, deep learning frameworks, computer vision, ML models including LLM, ML serving frameworks and advanced techniques like fine-funding and RAG.Track record of driving technical excellence and innovation in the field of applied AI is essential.
You will be experienced in functional & technical leadership, developing data science solutions for AI workloads and leading the team with end-to-end delivery (design, development, maintenance, and optimization) of advanced analytical solutions with focus on process standardization and best practices
You will be proactive in reaching out to wide variety of stakeholders and internal partners and external customers for building up Data Science, ML and GenAI capabilities and solutions and identifying and delivering business value driven opportunities to key customers.
You will analyse the market and industry trends in the technology and proactively look for opportunities in bringing the best solutions
Key Responsibilities will include:
Strategic Tech Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic vision for AI/ML Ops and data science engineering teams that aligns with overall business objectives in the region.
Technical Expertise: Lead the design and architecture of scalable, reliable, and secure AI/ML solutions.Innovation: Drive innovation by exploring and implementing cutting-edge AI/ML technologies and methodologies.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and global teams, including engineering, data science, and product management, to deliver high-quality solutions. Collaborate with regional ML/AI ecosystem of AI practitioners and developers.
Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior machine learning engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.Customer Engagement: Actively support key customers in the area of AI/ML systems and solutions and applications.
What are we looking for?
Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in data science or software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on AI/ML Ops and data science engineering.
Skills:
- Deep expertise in AI/ML stacks and frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proven experience in designing and deploying large-scale distributed systems dealing with machine learning approaches
- Deep understanding of compute HW and dedicated AI accelerators for AI inference workloads
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.- 4+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
- 4+ years of experience with debugging techniques.
