We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor Cost Plan to join our growing team. This role is vital to ensuring our projects are planned and delivered within budget, aligned with our commitment to excellence. The role is responsible to provide pre-contract quantity surveying (COST PLAN) duties for Civil Works.
Responsibilities include-
Primary responsibility is to provide cost plan during early stages of a project by conducting detailed feasibility studies and cost analysis.
Helps to outline the projects objectives & provide cost advice. Work closely with design department to define the cost plan and identify any financial constraints or opportunities.
Refines the initial cost plan, advising on procurement routes and strategies. Assist in developing the project brief, ensuring all cost implications are considered and aligning the financial plan with the clients goals.
Prepares initial cost estimates and conducts value engineering exercises to ensure the design aligns with the cost plan. Also begin to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, contributing to the overall cost management plan.
Refines cost plan and conducts detailed cost checks against the evolving design. Ensure that spatial arrangements are cost-effective and that any changes in the design are financially evaluated. Coordination with other project stakeholders is crucial to maintain budgetary control.
Preparation of detailed Bills of Quantities - 1. Initial project documentation, collecting all relevant project documents, including architectural plans, engineering drawings, and specifications. 2. Itemisation and categorisation, review the project documents thoroughly and itemise all materials and labour required.3. Quality control, review and cross-check the BOQ thoroughly to ensure accuracy and consistency. 4. Compliance and standards, ensure that Bills of Quantities adheres to the relevant standards and guidelines. 5. Final compilation, organise the BOQ in a clear and easily understandable format.
