The role
We are hiring a Tax Manager to join our Finance and Accounting team as our organization grows and matures. The candidate will be directly reporting to the Chief Accountant.
The Tax Manager will be responsible for ensuring the company's tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions including the UAE, KSA, Egypt, Pakistan, Lebanon and any other jurisdiction the company expands to.
The role entails robust tax planning, tax documentation, ability to understand existing tax laws, ability to analyse new tax laws or changes to existing tax laws, structuring and documenting transfer pricing policy and process across the organization and ensure accurate tax accounting in line with corporate tax, VAT, sales tax and any other direct or indirect regulations in jurisdictions where NymCard is currently operating or will eventually expand to.
What you will do- Develop a robust tax function.
- Develop comprehensive tax policies and process documentation across the operating jurisdictions and coordinate with the Chief Accountant for proper implementation by the accounting team.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws.
- Timely submission of corporate tax returns, VAT returns, sales tax returns or any other tax submissions applicable to the company.
- Understanding economic substance and the preparation of economic substance notifications and reports to the authorities.
- Maintain and enforce a healthy tax structure across the organization.
- Document, manage and drive the transfer pricing policy, documentation and implementation.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems to enhance and automate tax related reporting and tax accounting entries.
- Liaise with tax services providers or auditors in regard to tax audits and tax returns.
- Help and support the team with external auditor requests.
- Support month-end and year-end close process in regards to tax entries and tax provisions.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS principles.
- Periodic reporting to the finance senior management.
- Perform other job-related tasks as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

- You have a positive can-do attitude and a flexible approach.
- Good analytical skills and detail oriented.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to meet a constant stream of tax reporting deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Five years or more of senior experience managing tax compliance and tax submissions; card payments and banking industry experience is a plus.
