We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Deputy Procurement Manager to support our growing operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive procurement experience within the UAE infrastructure and construction sectors, strong supplier networks, and the ability to manage complex procurement processes for civil, marine, and maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Procurement Manager in developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services related to bridges, tunnels, marine works, fabrication, and maintenance.
- Maintain a strong vendor database and build reliable supply chain relationships across the UAE.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Review and finalize purchase orders, contracts, and procurement reports.
- Collaborate with project, engineering, and finance teams to forecast procurement needs and control project costs.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and material availability to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Oversee the procurement cycle from requisition to delivery, ensuring materials meet required quality standards.
- Manage procurement documentation and maintain accurate records for audits and internal reporting.
- Mentor junior procurement staff and ensure team performance aligns with company goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical or related field).
- Minimum 15 years of UAE experience in procurement within the infrastructure, construction, or marine sectors.
- Strong knowledge of the local market, vendor landscape, and procurement regulations in the UAE.
- Proven experience in procurement related to bridges, tunnels, marine works, and fabrication projects is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficient in procurement software and ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate diploma or certification in Procurement/Supply Chain (e.g., CIPS, CPM) is an advantage.
- Experience working with government or RTA-related projects is a plus.
