Infrastructure & Cloud Architect

Job Description

Join the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) as an Infrastructure & Cloud Architect, where you&aposll lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and cost-efficient infrastructure that powers smart city transformation in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and maintain both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure aligned with RTAs enterprise architecture
• Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud systems using AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Collaborate with internal project teams and external stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose infrastructure solutions
• Optimize cloud resource usage, control costs, and ensure high performance and reliability
• Develop and enforce governance policies for cloud usage, ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards
• Maintain detailed architecture documentation, support audits, and guide infrastructure decisions
• Stay updated on emerging cloud and infrastructure technologies to assess and implement innovation
• Ensure seamless integration of infrastructure with RTA&aposs enterprise systems, promoting interoperability and efficiency

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure design and cloud architecture
• Expertise in cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, object storage, solution architecture, and technology design
• Familiar with governance, risk & compliance (GRC) in IT environments
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and project coordination skills
• Skilled communicator and team collaborator across internal and external entities
