About the role
The Loss Prevention Specialist is responsible for implementing plans and controls to minimize loss of inventory, cash, and/or revenue leakage.
What you'll be doing- Conduct store audits and self-assessment reviews
- Conduct ongoing CCTV footage review and analysis of high-risk areas
- Conduct ad hoc store visits to review compliance with loss prevention controls and highlight key risk areas
- Monitor incidents and exceptions, and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence and reduce impact
- Raise issues and follow up on long outstanding incidents related to inadequate controls in inventory and cash handling
- Direct the work of contract security officers
- Manage external security company and address performance issues
- Inspect buildings, equipment, or access points to determine security risks and confirm adequacy
- Respond to all security incident reports raised by stores or distribution centers regarding security equipment
- Implement relevant measures to ensure company compliance is adhered to
- Conduct security audits and generate subsequent action plans for operations and relevant business units
- Perform ad hoc store visits to ensure all security equipment is used correctly, including CCTV, EAS, and intruder alarm systems
- Assist in apprehending shoplifters and liaise with mall security or local police; advise stores on procedures for dealing with shoplifters and assist in subsequent police cases
About you
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Graduate in any discipline
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in loss prevention or security management
- Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Excel and PowerPoint
- Previous experience in audit checks, stock and inventory control, and preparing incident reports
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
